MORE THOUGHTS

I decided to expand this site with my own personal thoughts and descriptions rather than the traditional third-person narrative where someone else is describing my art in ways that are not always accurate to my intentions.

Art and artists are often misunderstood.  Not because we hold any great truths.  Some may, but most are only average.

It’s difficult to describe art in any way better than actually seeing it.  News and magazine articles about artists are often unintentionally fictionalized in order to somehow elevate the importance of the artist’s work.  The truth is far less romantic and much more the product of continuous disappointments and struggles for acceptance by galleries and collectors and ourselves.  We are constantly dissatisfied with our work for many reasons not having to do with competency or talent.
